Ngui Psychiatry Associates is a specialised medical practice located in the heart of Novena.

Founded in 1971 by Dr. Paul William Ngui, the practice, then known as Paul W. Ngui Psychiatric Clinic, was one of Singapore's earliest pioneers in the clinical care of patients with stress-related emotional and behavioural symptoms, as well as other psychiatric conditions.


In his honour, an annual lecture is held by the College of Psychiatrists, Academy of Medicine, Singapore.

As a founding member and President of Singapore Association for Mental Health (SAMH) in 1971-1973 and 1975-1988, Dr. Paul W. Ngui was leading efforts to reduce stigma, improve psychiatric care, and expand community-based support for individuals with mental health conditions in Singapore.


For SAMH's 40th anniversary publication, he wrote an article reflecting on the history and progress of SAMH.
